Elemental Sulfur
Granular, lump and powder sulfur from refinery and gas recovery.
01 Overview
Elemental sulfur recovered from refinery and gas processing is a major regional export, consumed principally by sulfuric acid production and fertilizer manufacture, with agricultural, rubber and chemical applications following. Granular form dominates export trade for its handling characteristics.

07 Supply & export note
Sulfur generates fine dust that is both a handling hazard and a quality loss in transit. Bag construction and loading method are specified against the route, and moisture content is verified at loading because wet sulfur becomes corrosive to vessel and container structures.
