Styrene Monomer
Inhibited styrene monomer for polystyrene, ABS, SBR and resin production.
01 Overview
Styrene monomer is the feedstock for polystyrene, ABS, SBR latex and unsaturated polyester resins. It polymerises spontaneously under heat and requires TBC inhibition and temperature-controlled storage — this is the defining commercial and operational consideration in every SM trade.
02 Types we supply
Each entry below is a grade — a specific version of this product, made to its own recipe for a particular use. If you are not sure which one you need, tell us what you are making and we will advise.
- Polymerisation grade, TBC inhibited
03 Typical specification
These figures are approximate and differ slightly between producers. The binding numbers are the ones on the certificate of analysis for your actual shipment, which we send with every quotation.

07 Supply & export note
Every consignment is supplied with certified TBC content and a production date. We plan transit duration and ambient exposure against the inhibitor level, and will advise against a route where the transit time places the cargo at polymerisation risk.
