High viscosity residual base oil for gear oils and greases.
01 Overview
Bright stock is a high-viscosity residual base oil produced by deasphalting and solvent refining of vacuum residue. It provides the film strength and tackiness that lighter neutrals cannot, and remains essential in heavy gear oils, marine cylinder oils and grease manufacture.

Bright stock is highly viscous and requires heating for drum discharge in cool conditions. We provide handling guidance with the shipment and factor ambient temperature at destination into the packing recommendation.
