Xylene
Xylene (Mixed & Ortho)
Mixed xylene and ortho-xylene for solvent and chemical intermediate use.
01 Overview
Xylene is traded as mixed isomers for solvent applications and as separated ortho- and para-xylene for chemical synthesis. Mixed xylene is the standard industrial solvent in coatings and printing; para-xylene feeds the PTA and polyester chain while ortho-xylene produces phthalic anhydride.

07 Supply & export note
Specify the isomer requirement on enquiry — mixed, ortho and para carry materially different prices and availability, and the wrong assumption is a costly one in this group.
